Gerardo’s is NOW A COOKING AND BAKING ASSESSMENT CENTER PDF Print E-mail
Gerardo’s is now a TESDA accredited assessment center for Commercial Cooking NCII and Baking and Pastry Production NCII.

The approval came last December when TESDA conducted an on-site check of Gerardo’s facilities, tools  and equipments.

Gerardo’s is the second assessment center for Commercial Cooking and Baking and Pastry Production in Gen. Santos City after GSNSAT.

As mandated by law, TESDA is the sole government entity that sets the appropriate skills standards and tests, coordinates and monitors manpower policies and programs, and provides policy directions and guidelines for resource allocation for the Technical Vocational Educational Technical institutions in both the private and public sectors. The assessment process seeks to determine whether the graduate or worker can perform to the standards expected in the workplace based on the defined competency standards. Certification is provided to those who meet the competency standards.
An assessment center is a venue accredited  by TESDA to assess the skills of an applicant. An applicant must pass all competencies before issuance of the National Certificate. The national certificate NCII is very valuable for applicants for overseas jobs as this is oftentimes required by the companies there.
TESDA’s national certificate is a requirement being asked for by employers from anyone who applies for a job abroad. If one is interested to apply for any cooking and baking job overseas, he/she must be an NCII holder for Commercial Cooking or Baking and pastry Production before his/her application will be entertained.
Interested parties who wants to apply for assessment of their respective skills in commercial cooking NCII and Baking and Pastry Production NC II may go directly to Gerardo’s and apply for assessment.
