Gerardo’s training program, according to Chef Faith, follows a strict regimen that trains the person not just in cooking and baking but more importantly to be a fundamentally sound culinary professional that adheres to the Standards of Professionalism for culinary practitioners.
“This is basically the reason why our OJTs are preferred by the Chefs who handles them in their OJT venues simply because they are well-trained in culinary fundamentals and more importantly they are well-disciplined students. They don’t hide in times of long hours of work, in fact they will always volunteer and seek other tasks if they are vacant”, she said.
“As a matter of fact, we have already one student who is now working for Marco Polo Hotel Davao, another working for Grand Regal Hotel, two for Dos Amigos Restaurant, another one for Restorante Spirale, Bigby’s, Junjie’s Grills and Thrills and so many other food outlets. This is a testament that the training program they get from us is attuned with the needs of these food service establishments,” she added.
Gerardo’s is open at 9 am to 12 noon, and 1:30 pm to 6 pm every day.
